Aerial Improv Contest
Sunday, April 22, 7 pm (doors at 6:30)
Please join us for VA’s second not-quite-annual aerial improv competition! Aerialists of all levels will show off their ability to perform their choreography to a randomly-selected piece of music. Will they get Yanni, or Rammstein? Nobody knows until we hit that “random” button. Contestants get one free refusal, and after that they lose points for rejecting a song. Our panel of celebrity judges will tally the scores and select a new improv champion. What do they get? Cash! Where does that cash come from? The door! So please come out and enjoy a hilarious night of aerial virtuosity.
This year’s amazing judges’ panel includes: Armitage Shanks (Dog and Pony Show Productions), Martha Enson (En-Joy Productions) and Courtnee Papastathis, aka Zita the Aerialist (past improv champion!). Who will be the fourth judge? Check back here soon to find out…
PERFORMERS: please email improv@versatilearts.net if you have questions or are interested in participating. Preregistration is encouraged but not required. This is a great chance to be seen by Seattle’s biggest circus event producers, and it’s a ton of fun as well. And did we mention CASH PRIZES?
Date Nights
Versatile Arts popular “date night” shows feature 4-6 aerial acts and then…a movie! Doors open at 7:30, show at 8, movie starts around 9. Cost is a whopping $5 – the cheapest date in town! Attendance is limited so do RSVP using the form below to ensure that you’ll get in. BYOB, and feel free to bring snacks for the movie and a big pillow or low chair.

SECOND SHOW ADDED: Jan 21, doors at 7:30, show at 8 pm. (show only, no movie)
Did you think aerial performance was just for the ladies? Our first event of 2012 is going to show just how wrong you are! This show is all beefcake – but that doesn’t mean there won’t still be grace and style! The men of VA will amaze you with their form and finesse as well as their power. And for the post-show movie? Why, Zoolander, of course. There might just be…a walk-off!
