While accustomed to freely ascending/descending all 30 feet of the silks, sling offers a different opportunity to explore movement within a space that’s more rigid – both in terms of physical tension, and vertical height. She believes this shift nicely supports a different kind of grace and stillness, which is what she’s trying to convey in this piece.
