Drop-In Classes

Most of the classes offered at Versatile Arts are session-based; however, we do offer a few drop-in classes each week.

Students who wish to attend a drop-in class must pre-register using our online registration tool.  Cut-off is 3 hours prior to the start of a given class.  If you pre-register for class but do not show up, we will charge your account as a no-show.  If you show up for class without pre-registering, the cost is $5 extra.    If a class does not have enough students pre-registered by the cut-off time, we reserve the right to cancel and will notify all students via email and/or phone.  Use the button below to go to the drop-in registration page and select the class you wish to attend.  Classes are posted the Friday prior to a given week.

Important:  If you are new to VA, you must either schedule a half-hour assessment lesson or obtain instructor approval before you attend your first drop-in class.  The only exceptions are classes with no prerequisites, such as the ABC classes and the Aerial Pilates for Beginners class.  Email us if you wish to schedule an assessment.

Flexibility Technique Drop-In

This class is not being offered this session.

Flexibility is one of the key aspects of all circus arts. The ability to expand your body’s range of motion takes a lot of time and effort, but also intelligence to do it properly. This class is going to focus on teaching you the technique of flexibility. By combining passive flexibility (holding flexible positions assisted by floor, fabrics…etc.) and active flexibility (the ability to use your muscles to hold flexible positions unassisted), we will cover a vast range of flexibility training methods to help you discover your body’s custom flexibility regimen. This will be an intense class, please be ready to be pushed past your comfort zone. While it is NEVER the goal to create injury through stretching, often times there are mental and physical roadblocks you will need to push through to succeed.

Please come to class with lots of water, layers to stay warm, and an understanding that flexibility success cannot be achieved with merely once-a-week efforts. Open studio, and home training are crucial for the achievement of your goals.
