Kelly Ward

Kelly was introduced to the circus at age 44, when her all-girl scooter gang decided to take a flying trapeze / aerial workshop together. Since then she has studied aerial arts and been in many shows. It’s been a long time.  In 2014, she founded Cirque Macabre with a dream of terrifying audiences. Since then she’s produced over 10 shows, including many here at Versatile Arts/New Moon Movement Arts.

About this act:

“David Bowie said he was inspired to write a song about America when he witnessed the hype around of the grand opening of the first McDonalds in Java.  The success of our culture was so great that it was literally homogenizing paradise.

As Americans, our culture, our ideas have an outsized impact on the world around us. We can choose to export the ideas of democracy, liberty, and the rule of law; or… we can choose to export the opposite. We need to be the change we want to see in the world.”
